Not only is Donny an amazing fishing Captain, he also knows the lay or the land in the Toronto Island area! He was able to show me hot spots throughout the island for birding purposes. It was awesome having a local show you the area, get some history and hear some wholesome “good ol’ boy” stories while exploring! It was an amazing time and we saw a wonderful variety of bird species!

Donny is a warm and knowledgeable Captain and has always made the Detour experience a positive one. His passion for the sport is admirable and his love and excitement for every fish, palpable! His rig and equipment is fantastic and fits the needs for long hauls on the water, very clean, comfortable and provides amenities such as an onboard washroom and fridge! The boat also offers a shaded area and comfortable seating should you need to escape the sun! I have caught and seen so many big beautiful fish caught with Donny on the Detour. 10/10 would recommend!
